How can I get involved with Shared Futures?

How do the Conservation Meditative Hikes work?

These are guided experiences combining hiking, environmental education, hands-on conservation (like trail maintenance), and mindfulness practices. They’re designed to restore both ecosystems and mental well-being, while fostering spiritual connection with nature.

What impact has Shared Futures made so far?

Shared Futures was founded in 2024 and is currently in its pilot year. Our initial focus is on launching School Eco Clubs, the Reforest Africa Initiative, and our volunteer programme. While these programs are still being piloted, we are actively seeking partners to help bring them to life and begin creating meaningful impact for youth, communities, and the environment across Africa

How does Shared Futures measure success?

During this pilot year, we are focused on learning, refining, and testing our programs. Success is measured through early indicators such as engagement levels, volunteer participation, partnerships formed, and the growth and development of pilot initiatives like School Eco Clubs and tree-planting projects.

Can I volunteer or get involved as a partner?

How is Shared Futures funded?

Currently, Shared Futures is part of the Sothaba Group and is funded by Sothaba Enterprise Associates. As we grow, we are exploring additional sources of support, including grants and philanthropic donations, corporate sponsorships and CSR partnerships, paid training and eco-tourism experiences, crowdfunding and community giving, and government or institutional contracts. This diversified approach helps ensure financial sustainability while enabling us to scale our impact over time.

What is Shared Futures?

Shared Futures is a young, impact-driven organisation founded in 2024, dedicated to supporting environmental sustainability and youth engagement in Africa.
